| Research on Women in Politics Working for Women's Political Participation——Discourse and the Establishment of Subjectivity |

Abstract Ideally, women in politics work for women's political participation. In reality, however, women in politics have not become the subjective awareness of women's political participation. This paper adopts critical theory and post-structural feminist theory to examine the history of women's political participation and to show why there has not been the awareness of political participation among women in Mainland China. It concludes that if there lacks a discourse on women's political participation, women politicians may not become the subjective awareness of women's political participation.
