Abstract:Based on the framework of "body, identity of cultural symbol and nation-state," this article discusses the construction of miss etiquette's public gender identity as the function of micro-power mechanism in international games. On the one hand, miss etiquette's body capital is rationally operated in the process of interacting with the nation-state. This is reflected in the self-assessment and others' evaluation of women's body. But in public dominated by patriarchy, the subjectivity of body is submerged by micro-power centered on technological strategies, and trying to objectify the body. On the other hand, both the public gaze of patriarchy and responsible discourses of nation-state construct miss etiquette's identity as cultural symbol through their own self-disciplining.
