Abstract："Romance" is always a focus of popular cultural studies, and also one to which feminist scholars have devoted special attention. The Progress of Romance: The Politics of Popular Fictions is one of those collections that has comprehensively introduced the origin of Romance, the features of this genre, and the research methods from a feminist perspective.
