Women in Family Business Succession: Review and Prospect |

Abstract In family businesses, succession is very biased based on gender. As women are taking positions of business management, daughter succession draws increasing attention. In close reference to China's management practice, this paper reviews existing literature on daughter succession, revealing the current situations of women in family businesses and the challenges they face from both macro and micro perspectives during the succession process and suggests future research directions.
