Abstract This paper highlights the significance of husbands, who are migrant workers, returning seasonally for wives left-behind in home villages. The ceremony of homecoming of husbands actually works as a process of husbands' compensating for their important family roles. The consequences of this ceremony have really positive impacts on both couples' relationship inside the family and on continuation of family functions viewed from outside the family.
