A Feminist Analysis of Rape: Reading Susan Brownmiller Against Our Will |

Abstract Susan Brownmiller creatively brought rape into feminist movement and argued clearly that rape is a concern of feminist movement. In her book, Against Our Will, she drew on historical materials and lived experiences to dominate her in depth understanding of rape. This paper discusses the following issues, including objectification of women, multilevel explanations of rape, position of victim, and pornography, in relation to Susan Brownmiller's views of rape, so as reveal the reality of rape and its impact on women.
