The Successes of Women's Businesses in the Republic of China: Women's Management Strategy |

Abstract women's businesses started to grow in agriculture, industrial and commerce, banking and services, along with the development of economy, the progress of society and the advancement of Women's Liberation Movement during the Republic of China. There were combined reasons for the successes of women's business adventures. This article examines these businesswomen's successes based on management strategies. For example, they participated in the movement to promote Chinese products and advocated the domestic products to meet the needs of national development. They also used their advantage as women and adopted efficient and diverse marketing methods. As women's businesses gained significances, these women not only brought power, benefits and honor to women themselves, but also promoted production, challenged the traditional sexual division of labor and gender roles, and helped change traditional values and promote social transformation, and set up role models for women.
